Robert Blake: Tajikistan always supports the regional cooperation » “Khovar” – National Information Agency of Tajikistan

Dushanbe, March 28. (NIAT “Khovar”, P.Nazarov).-Within the framework of the Fifth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi had a talk with US Assistant Secretary of State Robert Blake, on March 26.

Assistant Secretary of State expressed gratitude to Tajik Government for organization of the Fifth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan, which is promoting development in Afghanistan, as well as in the whole region.

Tajik Foreign Minister pointed out that the conference conducted in a very high level this year, because in conference’s work along with representatives from 46 countries, as well as 30 international and regional organizations took part four Leaders of the state, as well the Presidents of Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan.

Robert Blake in his turn stated that Tajikistan always supports its neighbor, as soon as possible to implement various projects related to stabilization of the situation and economic development in Afghanistan, because this initiative is for the sake of whole Central Asian regions.

Moreover, in the course of the talks, the sides exchanged views on implementation of existing regional projects aimed at economic growth in Afghanistan.
