Majhi (Punjabi: ਮਾਝੀ, ماجھی) dialect is referred to as the standard dialect of Punjabi language1 originating from the Majharegion of the Punjab. It is also used to refer to the people who speak this dialect and live mostly in central districts ofPakistani Punjab and in India around Amritsar and Gurdaspur regions, known as Majhis. The 2 most important citiesvia Majhi dialect.
