Two Montana residents working for the Bozeman-based Central Asia Institute have been stranded since last week after being caught in an armed conflict in eastern Tajikistan.

Karin Ronnow of Livingston and Erik Petersen of Clyde Park arrived in Khorog, Tajikistan, one day before the conflict broke out.
